Troop 170

Theodore Roosevelt Council

Syosset, NY

Update 5-22-09: I changed photo galleries, so now all the pictures I have are Here. That's right, every stupid pose you made is now available for the whole troop to see. In addition if you have any pictures, email them as attachments to t170trc.photos@picasaweb.com, with where they are from as the subject. If you find any problems, like doubles of pictures, Email me.

Update 5-11-09: Here is the map of SUNY Old Westbury. The meeting will be in the Clark Athletics Center.  You should bring your bathing suits and a towel.

Update 5-3-09: Done. Remember that Thursday is the summer camp meeting.

P.S. I just found out that the button on the top of the page does not display properly in older versions of Internet Explorer (Versions 7 and below).  I am sorry, but as I don't know why it displays like that in other browsers in the first place, I can't fix it.  All I can really do is direct you to upgrade to Version 8 (XP or Vista). Unless of course you don't care.

Update 5-1-09: Opps, sorry, I forgot to do that today.  It will definitely be up by Sunday with customary bad attempts at witty dialogue, sans Onteora material.  Not that it matters, since everyone is at the Camporee until then anyway.

Update 4-30-09: For those of you who came looking for the camp stuff, take a chill pill and I will have it all shiny and done tomorrow.

Update 4-8-09:

We would like to apologize to the viewers at home. Chris got a little bored. Thank you for your understanding.

Welcome! This is the new Troop 170 website.

This place is still under construction, as I still need to do some work to get it functional again. Namely:

  • Upload the rest of the pictures to the gallery.
  • Double check the leadership page.
  • Expand the contacts page.
  • If you find anything amiss please email me.
    • Also, if anyone can tell me what the old webmaster email was, please email me.

Here is a large version of the redrawn, now complete neckerchief patch.

I know that the two rear scouts look a little strange, but this is about the extent of my drawing ability. I tried to stay as close as possible to the original patch that we all know and love (except of course if you don't), but as it is lacking many details I had to draw my own.  I also added patches to the scout carrying the flag, who I have decided is the SPL, and updated the uniform colors and neckerchief.
